2020 Mental Health Symposium – up to 14 hours of CPE

The Mental Health symposium will be held February 4-5, 2020 at the Holiday Inn in Athens, Georgia.  This interprofessional education symposium will bring together pharmacists, physicians, psychologists and social workers. It explores current concepts in the treatment of mental health disorders as well as advances in pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment of mental health and other associated chronic diseases. Session topics include: neurobiology of trauma, CBD, pediatric neurologic co-morbidities, new drug update, technology update, USP 800, mindfulness and neuroscience, and managing comorbid diseases in adult psychiatry.

51st Southeastern Residency Conference

The 51st Southeastern Residency Conference is April 23-24, 2020 at the Classic Center in Athens, GA. This conference provides a venue for residents to present their research to peers, preceptors, and residency coordinators. The Southeastern Residency Conference is an opportunity for pharmacy residents and graduate students to make formal professional presentations of their own projects or research; exchange information and ideas with colleagues; discuss issues confronting institutional practice; and develop professional relationships. It will provide up to date information for pharmacists practicing in health-system and community pharmacies, particularly pharmacy residents, preceptors and residency coordinators as well as graduate students.  Register online here.
