Naloxone Dispensing in Community Pharmacy – 1 hour of CPE
This continuing education activity was developed to educate pharmacists and technicians in identifying patients who may be at risk of opioid overdose. Naloxone for opioid overdose can be dispensed by Georgia pharmacists without a prescription. Pharmacists will learn when to recommend naloxone to patients and/or families. The education includes critical counseling points on administration of naloxone and follow-up for the patient when naloxone is used.
