Do you know a PharmDawg alumnus who owns or leads a business and defines the spirit of a successful entrepreneur? If so, you are urged to nominate this business for one of UGA’s highest honors.
The UGA Bulldog 100 program is accepting nominations for its 2027 cohort through July 31. Each year, Bulldog 100 recognizes the fastest-growing businesses owned or led by UGA alumni, and celebrates the innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit that define the Bulldog network.
To be eligible, businesses must have operated continuously since January 2022 and report verifiable revenues of at least $250,000 in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Companies also must align with UGA’s values and image, while alumni leaders must meet specific ownership and leadership criteria. Honorees are ranked based on compounded annual growth rates across the three-year period. Selected 2027 cohort members will be contacted in December, and the Bulldog 100 celebration will be held in January 2027.
Last year’s cohort had four PharmDawg-owned businesses in the Bulldog 100 line-up. These businesses, their leaders, and their rankings included SlicedHealth, Reed Liggin, BSPH ’94 (ranked 3); Coastal Drug Company, Ben Ross, PharmD ’08 and Mary Nagel, PharmD ’16 (ranked 41); Biscuit Belly, Chad Coulter, PharmD ’08 (ranked 65), and King’s Pharmacy, Dorris Hyer, PharmD ’12 and John Hyer, PharmD ‘12 (ranked 70).
Along with recognizing business success, Bulldog 100 showcases the strength and impact of the UGA community. Please nominate an eligible business owned or led by a College of Pharmacy alumnus and encourage fellow alumni to do the same. To submit a nomination and for more information, see the Bulldog 100 webpage or contact Gordon Thomas, Senior Director of Development at the College of Pharmacy.
