College of Pharmacy to Host SPAC Conference August 8-10

For scholars, researchers, and students in the pharmacy administration field, one conference stands out as the can’t-miss event of the year – the Southern Pharmacy Administration Conference (SPAC) 2024. Hosted by the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, August 8th-10th, SPAC provides an unparalleled opportunity to share insights, be published, network with leaders, and shape the future of this dynamic discipline.

Since its founding in 1985, SPAC has fostered crucial dialogues at the intersection of social/administrative sciences, health economics, and outcomes research. What really sets this conference apart is its emphasis on enriching learning for the next generation.

“SPAC is designed to give graduate students an invaluable platform to present their work, get feedback from experts, and make connections that can propel their careers forward. It’s an unmatched experience for those just entering these fields.”

– Dr. Henry Young, Conference Chair.

This year’s conference is designed to optimize opportunities for growth by offering professional development sessions, research roundtables, and a combination of podium presentations and poster sessions. Students and recent graduates from southeastern pharmacy programs are invited to submit abstracts showcasing completed research or works in progress through June 30th. Select high-quality abstracts will be published in the Exploratory Research in Clinical Pharmacy journal.

“With its unique regional focus, collaborative spirit, and stellar reputation, SPAC continues to draw participants from top pharmacy programs across the southeast year after year,” said Dr. Young. “We look forward to hosting the SPAC conference.
