Dr. Duc Do Appointed Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management

Dr. Duc Do, PhD, CSAEd, has been named Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at UGA’s College of Pharmacy, announced Dean Kelly Smith.

“Dr. Do’s depth of experience within the University of Georgia as well as external pharmacy organizations; his familiarity with college and university administrative processes; the esteem in which he is held by faculty colleagues as well as his team; the nationally recognized programs he has administered; and his success in enhancing our student services make him uniquely positioned to be elevated to Associate Dean,” said Dean Smith. “I look forward to his continued commitment to excellence in the Office of Student Affairs and at the UGA College of Pharmacy.”

Dr. Do joined UGA’s College of Pharmacy in November, 2017 as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. During his tenure at CoP, he has transformed Student Affairs into a reliable and supportive resource by implementing a comprehensive range of student services and well-being initiatives. Some of these have included a holistic admissions process, new degree pathways, the establishment of externships, and increased co-curricular programs, all of which earned his office national recognition and praise during the College’s recent accreditation process. Along with these achievements, Dr. Do has maintained enrollment targets in the PharmD program throughout his tenure, while most other colleges of pharmacy have struggled to reach their goals.

In his new and expanded capacity, Dr. Do oversees student services and enrollment across all College of Pharmacy degree programs and extended campuses. He will continue to manage and lead the Office of Student Affairs through student success initiatives, enrollment management, academic planning and support, academic advising, and student life. Further, he will assure compliance with Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards for professional student services.

Added Dean Smith, “This elevated position reflects the increased scope and purview of Dr. Do’s key leadership role, the expanded services his office provides, and the academic programs it will support. We congratulate him on this new and well-deserved opportunity at our college.”
