The Kenneth L. Waters Lecture was established as a lecture series in 1982 for two purposes – first, to bring to our campus nationally and internationally known leaders in pharmacy to share with our students, faculty, alumni and friends, their thoughts, perspectives and challenges. The second purpose is to pay tribute to, and to recognize through the name of the series, the outstanding accomplishments and contributions of Dean Emeritus Kenneth L. Waters, who served as Dean of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy from 1948 until his retirement in 1977. Under his direction the College of Pharmacy became one of the finest in the country, attaining a national reputation for the quality of the academic programs. To continue Dean Waters’ inspiring work in our College, consider making a contribution to the Grace & Kenneth L. Waters Scholarship Fund.
