Dear PharmDawgs and Friends:
A new year often is an exciting time to embark on new adventures, refocus on future plans, and to look at the past year in a rearview mirror. For me personally, 2023 is a combination of all of these. As of February 1, I started a new journey in my career; fortunately, remaining at the University of Georgia. After seven years at the College of Pharmacy, I relocated to north campus to lead the fundraising efforts at the nine UGA libraries, the UGA Press, and The Georgia Review.
As I reflect on the past, I am grateful for my tenure at the College of Pharmacy. I wish to express my gratitude to Dean Kelly Smith for allowing me to lead our development and alumni relations efforts. Most especially, I am thankful to all of the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and donors who continue to make this College a truly special place. Each of you, in some way, have provided memories that I will cherish for many years to come.
Looking towards the future, I encourage you to find further ways to connect with the College. The profession of pharmacy continues to evolve and face new challenges. However, if the pandemic showed us anything, it was the value, impact, and contributions that pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists make in our communities. Whether you contribute financially, provide opportunities for our students, or choose other opportunities to become engaged, you will make a difference. Thank you for all you do to assure that the future is bright and promising for the College of Pharmacy
