This spring, the incredible support of alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends propelled the College of Pharmacy toward record-breaking success on Dawg Day of Giving. Not only did we see a 23% increase in gifts over our prior record, but we also surpassed our goals of 200 total gifts and 50 student gifts.
This momentum unlocked a $2,000 donation to the Pharmacy Student Travel Award Fund, generously provided by Ben Ross (PharmD ’08), 2025 Bulldog 100 honoree and lead pharmacist and partner at Ross Drug, Coastal Drug Company, and Clark Drug Company. In addition, a $1,500 donation to the Pharmacy Student Affairs Fund was realized, thanks to the generosity of Starr Clark (BS Pharm ’87), 2025 Bulldog 100 honoree and owner of Clark Drug Company. Even more exciting? The College had 100% participation from the Pharmacy Alumni Board, which unlocked an additional $2,500 for the Pharmacy Student Travel Award Fund.
Our focus this year was on this travel fund, which helps pharmacy students gain valuable experiences—such as networking with industry leaders, exploring career opportunities, and representing the College of Pharmacy nationwide—that may not be attainable without financial support. Your generosity makes a direct impact on our students’ educational journeys and career trajectories. But don’t take our word for it! Thank you, PharmDawgs, for investing in the next generation and helping our students take bold steps toward leadership, innovation, and impact in the profession.
