The Development and Alumni Relations Office welcomes Roslyn Raley as the new Development Associate. In her duties, Roslyn will have administrative and stewardship responsibilities.
A native of South Carolina, Roslyn worked in banking and business sales until she joined the UGA Franklin College Of Arts and Sciences in 2008, where she held various development positions until she left UGA in 2015 to be with her young children. She returns to the work force in a part-time capacity at the CoP. Roslyn’s contact information is rraley@uga.edu and 706-542-5218, and her office is located in the Wilson Building, Room 215J.
Roslyn responded to the following Q&A interview.
- What brought you to Athens and UGA?
I grew up and lived my young adult life in South Carolina. In 2006, my husband took a job in Lawrenceville, GA, and we moved to Athens.
- Where did you receive your training/education?
I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Francis Marion University, a small liberal arts college in South Carolina.
- Why were you interested in this position, UGA, and the CoP?
The job was appealing to me, because I wanted to get back into the professional world, while still being able to attend to the needs of my family.
- Anything personally you’d like to share with your fellow PharmDawgs?
Currently, I reside in Athens with my family. My husband, Hart, works for First American Bank & Trust Co., and we have two children – Norah, 13, and Calhoun, 9. My favorite way to spend a weekend is being low-key at home with my family. I enjoy focusing on my health and exercise, and my favorite quote is “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken” (Oscar Wilde).
