The UGA College of Pharmacy is committed to assisting admitted students with their educational costs as they study for the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. We offer diverse scholarships awarded annually for the upcoming fall semester to Doctor of Pharmacy students.

There are two types of scholarships available for first-year Doctor of Pharmacy students:

  • Merit-based scholarships: Recipients will be determined based on a comprehensive review of their admission application materials and admission interviews; no additional application materials are required.
  • Need-based scholarships: Admitted students will be invited to apply for need-based scholarships in early spring through an online application.

Additional information regarding all scholarships:

  • Priority scholarship consideration will be given to applicants who apply early for admission.
  • A committee appointed by the Dean will make the selections for these scholarships by the summer before each new class begins.
  • Funds for these scholarships will be disbursed after the student is enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program and has begun taking pharmacy classes.
  • Scholarships may range in value from $1,000 to $5,000 per year.
