Twenty-four residents have been accepted into the UGA College of Pharmacy Graduate Certificate Program for the 2024-25 academic year. Hailing from Georgia and other states across the country, the residents will be trained at health systems located near the College’s four clinical campuses in Athens, Albany, Augusta, and Savannah.
“The caliber of individuals joining us this next academic year is outstanding,” said Dr. Beth Phillips, the College’s Assistant Department Head for Residency Programs and the Rite Aid Professor. “These are the future leaders of our profession, who will improve health through patient care, scholarship, and education.”
Of the 24 residents, 15 are Post Graduate Year One (PGY1) and nine are in their second year of post graduate training (PGY2). Eleven are alumni of UGA’s College of Pharmacy PharmD program.
