About the Southern Pharmacy Administration Conference (SPAC)

Since its inception in 1985, the first SPAC marked the beginning of a series of approximately 17 conferences organized by universities primarily located in the southern and southeastern regions of the United States. The conference focuses on the disciplines traditionally known as the Social and Administrative Sciences (SAS), which have recently expanded their purview to include Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR).

A central objective of SPAC persists in fostering the exchange of ideas and insights among graduate programs facing similar opportunities and challenges. Unlike larger conferences, SPAC places particular emphasis on offering enriching learning opportunities for graduate students. Moreover, it serves as a platform for faculty and students to exchange best practices aimed at enhancing the quality of graduate education.

SPAC 2024 is hosted by the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy, Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy. This year’s co-sponsors include the Exploratory Research in Clinical Pharmacy Journal.
