The Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track position at the level of Clinical Assistant Professor. We seek an individual who will teach in the areas of Biotechnology, Pharmaceutics/Compounding & Formulation, Pharmacogenomics, Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics, Pharmaceutics/ Drug Delivery, and other pharmaceutics-related courses. The successful candidate will complement and build upon the Department’s existing research strengths, which include active programs in chemical biology, pharmacology and pharmaceutics, cancer biology, and infectious diseases.

This individual will be instrumental in launching a flagship, pragmatic clinical trial integrating a pharmacogenomics component to personalize therapeutic outcomes. A core responsibility involves utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to develop and validate sophisticated risk prediction and stratification models for drug-related adverse events. By bridging the gap between computational data science and clinical application, the Associate will generate the preliminary evidence required to secure major NIH and external funding. Their work will directly elevate the College of Pharmacy’s profile as a leader in precision medicine and digital health. Furthermore, the Associate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate these AI-driven insights into actionable clinical protocols.
