Dr. Yaguang Xi’s Leadership and Scholarly Impact at the 2025 AAPS Annual PharmSci 360 Meeting

Dr. Yaguang Xi served as the Track Chair for the Discovery and Basic Research Rapid Fire Sessions at the 2025 AAPS Annual PharmSci 360 Meeting, held November 9–12, 2025, at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. In this leadership role, he oversaw the screening and selection of 12 oral presentations across three themes: Out of the Box Approaches for Innovation, Emerging Technology as a Game Changer in Drug Discovery, and How Can We Advance Basic Research as the Bedrock of Pharmaceutical Science? Dr. Xi’s leadership at this national conference reflects his expertise and influence in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences. By shaping the scientific program and fostering discussion that connects fundamental discovery with translational applications, he contributed to advancing national dialogue in drug discovery and development. His active role at AAPS PharmSci 360 also enhanced the visibility and impact of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy among academic, industry, and regulatory communities, further strengthening the College’s reputation for excellence in research and innovation.

Dr. Xi’s graduate student, Jemima Sani, was selected for both oral and poster presentations at the 2025 AAPS PharmSci 360 Meeting for her research titled “Targeting T-Cell Exhaustion in 3D Patient-Derived Triple Negative Breast Cancer Organoids and PDX Mice Models Using Novel Calcium Nanoparticles.” Her participation in this prestigious national conference further demonstrated the high quality of research emerging from Dr. Xi’s laboratory and reflected the growing impact of the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in advancing innovative cancer therapeutics.
