The College of Pharmacy offers two minors for undergraduate students who desire to enhance their studies with focuses on Cancer Therapeutics and Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences.


Cancer Therapeutics

The Minor in Cancer Therapeutics aims to provide undergraduate students with a core understanding of cancer biology, treatment modalities, and emerging therapeutic strategies, including personalized medicine. This program is designed to enhance students’ understanding of cancer research, clinical trials, and drug development, equipping them with the knowledge and skills relevant to careers in biomedical research, healthcare, and pharmaceutical sciences. By integrating the latest advancements in cancer therapeutics, this minor prepares students, particularly those pursuing graduate or professional health education, for future contributions to oncology and translational medicine.  For further information, see the UGA Bulletin.

The total hours required for a Minor in Cancer Therapeutics is 15, with six hours of required courses and nine hours of electives.  All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.0) or higher to satisfy the minor’s requirements.

Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences

The Minor in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences provides students with a solid foundation in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, exploring how drugs interact with the body—from discovery to delivery and treatment. By combining pharmaceutical and biomedical concepts, this minor prepares students for careers or advanced study in research, healthcare, pharmacy, biotechnology, and more. Designed for flexibility, this minor complements a wide range of majors—both science and non-science—offering a unique opportunity to engage with the scientific and practical aspects of drugs and biomedical innovations. Whether pursuing engineering, nutrition, pharmacy, medicine, nursing, regulatory affairs, business, or marketing, students gain the skills and knowledge to advance their academic and professional goals.
