With Phase II concluded, we are proud to report another year of strong placement outcomes that reflect the dedication of our students and the excellence of our program’s academic and professional preparation.’

PGY1 Match Results – Class of 2025

This year, our PGY1 candidates achieved an impressive 90.6% total match rate, with 58 of 64 active participants successfully securing residency positions. Four of those matches occurred during Phase II. Match placements spanned 17 states and territories, with 30 students matching to residencies within Georgia. Among a graduating class of 141 students, 41.1% were matched with a residency—continuing a strong trend of student interest in postgraduate clinical training.

PGY2 Match Results – Class of 2024

PGY2 candidates also excelled, achieving a 97.3% match rate, our highest PGY2 match rate in over 7 years. Out of 37 active participants, 36 students matched, including 16 through early commitment programs. These outstanding results reflect the continued success of our alumni as they advance to more specialized training and leadership roles in pharmacy practice.

Leading the Way in Georgia and Beyond

Once again, UGA achieved the highest PGY1 residency match rate in the state, underscoring our leadership in pharmacy education and student success.
