A dedicated team of healthcare professionals and students—led by Dr. Henry Young, CAP Department Head, and Dr. Brian Seagraves, Academic Professional in the CAP department—traveled to Hawkinsville, GA to participate in the city’s annual Juneteenth celebration.

During the celebration, the team provided free health screenings and personalized health education to members of the community. Services included blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, and wellness consultations designed to raise awareness about preventable chronic conditions. Through these efforts, the team identified a range of health concerns among attendees, enabling timely referrals and immediate, on-site interventions in some cases.
