Faculty and Students Celebrated During UGA Honors Week 2025

UGA celebrated Honors Week 2025 with a series of events that highlighted the excellence of the university’s students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Congratulations to the following award recipients from the College of Pharmacy. 

Dr. Devin Lavender, CAP Assistant Professor:
PharmD Teacher of the Year

Selected by the CoP Teacher of the Year Selection Committee and recognizes excellence in teaching, innovation, and fostering student success.

Dr. Anthony Hawkins, CAP Associate Professor:
Creative Teaching Award

Awarded by the Office of Instruction for his work in PHRM5370: Critical Care Pharmacy and PHRM5880: Pharmacotherapy.

Joshua Robinson: 2025 Graduate of BSPBS
Presidential Award of Excellence

Awarded by President Jere Morehead to an undergraduate student in each UGA school and college whose exceptional academic achievements and strong involvement in extracurriculars distinguish them from peers. Robinson graduated in spring 2025 from CoP’s Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Jarvis Hill: 2024 PhD Graduate
Graduate Award – Excellence in Mathematical and Physical Sciences Doctoral Research Award

Dr. Hill earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the UGA in spring 2024, with a predoctoral fellowship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). His major professor was Dr. David Crich.
