Welcome New Employee: Tatiana Woldman

We’re excited to welcome Tatiana Woldman to the College of Pharmacy! Tatiana joins us as an Experience Programs Student Specialist.

  • Where are you from originally? What brought you to Athens and UGA?
    • I am originally from Novosibirsk, Russia, but consider Austin, Texas my American hometown. I have been in Athens for almost 4 years, and moved here from Austin, TX
  • Where did you receive your training/education?
    • I completed my undergraduate at Carleton College in Minnesota. I recently completed a Masters in Public Health at UGA.
  • How did you become interested in your chosen field/profession? What are your areas of interest and expertise?
    • I love working in higher education and supporting the increadible learning and research that happens there. I am passionate about student support, health communication and health literacy and anything about patient education and community health.
  • What previous, relatable job experiences do you bring to your new position at CoP? Did you work at other locations on campus?
    • I worked for 13 years at the University of Texas at Ausin focusing on international student support. I learned compliance from my immigration experience and hope to apply these skills in my new role.
  • Why were you interested in applying for this position and coming to CoP/UGA?
    • I am passionate about healthcare and education so this seemed like the place that could meet both interests. I am also really interested in experiential learning and look forward to learning more about it.
  • What will you be responsible for in your new position?
    • I will be responsible for student compliance as well as MOUs for student placements during their rotations.

    • Town in which you currently reside: Athens
    • Outside interests/hobbies: Hiking, Biking and anything outdoors. + Reading contemporary fiction
    • Family, including animals and pets: 3 kids, 2 cats, 2 chickens and 6 guineafowl

    • I am passionate about all things international. In additional to working with international student for 15 years of my life I have lived in 3 different countries, and traveled to at least 14.
