PharmDawgs Rising: A Record Year of Impact

This past year was one of the most impactful in the history of development and alumni relations at the UGA College of Pharmacy. From record-breaking fundraising to expanded student support and alumni making headlines across the country, the PharmDawg Nation proved, once again, that when we set our sights high, there’s no stopping us.

By the numbers:

  • $6.6+ million raised in FY25—our most successful fundraising year ever, far surpassing our $3M goal.
  • Secured a $4 million planned gift, the largest in College history.
  • 13 new scholarship endowments established.

“As a student who worked hard to achieve excellence in my studies, it was encouraging to be recognized for my efforts by receiving financial support. This scholarship made a big difference in helping me pursue my Double Dawg degrees, which allowed me to take master’s courses during my undergraduate curriculum.  I will be able to complete my Master’s of Science in Regulatory Sciences in just one extra year.”

Moments of pride:

  • 2025 Dawg Day of Giving: This year’s Dawg Day of Giving focused on gifts to the College of Pharmacy’s Student Travel Award Fund. Thanks to our generous donors, we collected 224 gifts (an increase of 23%), had 85 student donors (up from just 5 last year), and had 100% Alumni Board participation.
  • Beat Week: We showed our Bulldog pride in the SEC Rivalry Challenge against the University of Alabama, raising over 50% more gifts than the previous year. Get ready for another exciting showdown this fall, as we go paw-to-fin with the Ole Miss Landsharks October 13-18 and raise dollars for the College of Pharmacy Mental Health Support Fund.
  • Awards & Honors: Our faculty, students, and alumni shone at the GPhA and GSHP meetings
  • Alumni Spotlight: Eight businesses led by UGA College of Pharmacy graduates were honored at the 2025 Bulldog 100, and one alumnus was inducted into UGA’s 40 Under 40 class of 2024.
