Dr. Brian Seagraves, Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy Academic Professional Associate, along with students Jake Stamey, Brittany Brooks, Kayleigh Greene, and Emily Smith (they refer to themselves as Seagraves’ Pharmy) presented to the Athens-Clarke County Citizens Advisory Committee and are successfully being considered for funds for a Mobile Health Screening Clinic with SPLOST 2020 funds. The committee was so impressed that they advised for double the funding request, totaling to $938,000 for two mobile clinics. Community partners Paige Cummings, Executive Director of the Athens Nurses Clinic; Chris Dowd, board member for Athens for Everyone; Dr. Whitney Huddleston, Piedmont Athens Regional Community Care Clinic; Chris Richards, Live Forward; and Patrick Reilly, the Department of Public Health, were also in attendance.
