PharmD Class of 2023 Officers Reflect on Time at the College

The PharmD Class of 2023 exemplified true PharmDawg Spirit during their four years at the College of Pharmacy.  There are many reasons why – among them being the outstanding students who served as class officers. Read below to learn a bit more about these soon-to-be PharmDawg alumni!

Sarah Adam

Class of 2023 Class President
Senior Legacy Committee

Sarah Adam, Class of 2023 President, is from Suwanee and plans to be a pharmacist at Grubb’s Pharmacy while completing a fellowship with NCPA in Washington, D.C. after graduation. She is also getting married on June 10! Throughout her time at the College of Pharmacy, some of her mentors include Drs. Seagraves, Fleming, Khail, Lavender, Phillips, Branan, Perri, and Darley.

“The Class of 2023 is invaluable. They are my friends, my family, and more importantly, I could not have completed the last four years without each member of this incredible class,” Adams said.

Parth Patel

Class Vice President

Class of 2023 Vice President Parth Patel is from Cartersville. After graduation, he is working in a position as an Executive Residency in Association Management with APhA and BPS in Washington D.C. Some of his mentors at the College include Drs. Duc Do, Andrea Sikora, Elizabeth Ojo, ’18, Raymond Patterson, ’22, and Busola Fowowe, ’22.

“The Class of 2023 means a class of hardworking all-stars. I have seen nothing but incredible things come out of this class. This class has helped inspire me to do more and always to work hard because that is exactly what every one of them is doing,” Patel said.

Kaitlin Blotske

Secretary/Treasurer/Augusta Liaison  | Class Representative 

Kaitlin Blotske is from Stockbridge and plans to complete a PGY1 pharmacy residency at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO after graduation. Some of her mentors throughout the time at the College are Drs. Andrea Sikora, Christy Cecil Forehand, and Alicia Sanchez.

“There is no better way to describe what the Class of 2023 means to me than the word “Phamily,” Blotske said. “From the very start, our class has supported and cheered each other on to excel in this challenging pharmacy program. I am proud and honored to be a part of such a great class and know that each and every one of my classmates will go on to change the way we practice and make a difference in the lives of our patients.”

Katie Schoen

Savannah Class Representative

Savannah Class Representative Katie Schoen is from Leesburg and plans to complete her residency at the North Florida/South Georgia VA after graduation. Some of her mentors throughout the time at the College of Pharmacy were Drs. Misha Watts and Derek Gaul. Schoen’s favorite memory during pharmacy school was getting back together with her classmates for their pinning ceremony after being on different campuses for a year.

“The Class of 2023 contains some of the most welcoming and supportive people I have ever met,” Schoen said. “We have been through so much together, and I know that we will always have a special connection. I can’t wait to see all of the amazing things my classmates do!”

Annie Bridges Register

Albany Class Representative

Annie Bridges Register, the Albany Class Representative, is from Brinson and plans to work as a full-time pharmacist at U-Save-It Pharmacy in Macon after graduation. Her favorite memory of the College of Pharmacy was attending the GPhA convention with her friends last summer in Amelia Island.

“I have met so many incredible future pharmacists in this class who have all had an impact on me and my professional growth. It is bittersweet to be graduating and going our separate ways, but I am excited to see what the future holds for each of them,” Register said.
